The end of keyboards in Geneva?

My 10-year-old cousin shows you how to save an hour a day with this AI

Hello Geneva,

First things first: happy new year 🎉

But I have to tell you what happened over the holidays.

I have a 10-year-old cousin. The kind of kid nothing impresses. Take him to a toy store, tell him "pick whatever you want"... he shrugs. He couldn't care less.

So when I suggested we code a video game together with AI, I expected him to check out after 10 minutes.

What happened blew me away.

We built a fighting game with all the cousins in the family as characters. And for the first time ever, I saw him come alive. Eyes shining. Brain going nonstop.

"What if the cousin who loves lifting weights fights with dumbbells? And the cousin who's crazy about soccer attacks by shooting balls?"

His ideas. His game. He didn't want to stop.

(I won't get into how AI let us code this game today; that deserves a whole newsletter of its own. But there's one specific tool I want to tell you about.)

How could a 10-year-old code without getting discouraged?

The secret is that he didn't need to type.

We used a tool called Wispr Flow. You talk, it writes. The AI transcribes and corrects in real time.

For a kid who hasn't mastered the keyboard, that changes everything. He could finally move at the speed of his imagination. No more friction. Just his ideas, straight onto the screen.

But here's what I didn't see coming...

Since those holidays, I'm the one who can't live without it.

Emails, LinkedIn posts, documents... I write 5 times faster than before. And since my brain isn't busy typing anymore, ideas come out more clearly. It's as if someone removed a filter between my head and the screen.

What's great about Wispr Flow:

  • It works everywhere. Any app, any text field. Gmail, Notion, WhatsApp, Slack...

  • It corrects automatically. Hesitations, "ums," repetitions: they all disappear. You speak naturally, and clean text comes out.

  • It works just as well in French as in English. Perfect for us in Geneva.

If you spend your days writing, and I know that's the case for many of you, give it a try: they have a free trial. An hour saved every day, easy.

In the meantime, wishing you all a wonderful 2026. May it be full of projects that excite you, and tools that make your life easier (thanks to me, I hope).
